had a question about ophtho matches from USC med. approx how many match per year and what's match rate? the past students who matched at USC, UCLA, stanford, etc - were they superstars ? i know Doheny is a great place, how are they in medstudent teaching, mentorship, and supporting students in application/careers in ophtho?

No, not really ... but no matter what you're interested in, your options won't be limited by USC (or any other school for that matter, unless you go out to somewhere really really rural) ... a lot of our profs (for first year anyway), though, seem to be GP's ...
