a vaginal delivery was complicated by a severe depression of the right shoulder. MRI shows a single nerve root avulsion of the brachial plexus. which of the following could it be:
C5
C6
C7
C8
T1

Someone asked me this and I did not how to explain it very well.

thankx 🙂

Someone asked you this randomly or you got it from an actual exam?

I normally associate complicated vaginal deliveries with Erb's palsy which would be C5 and C6.

I'm not sure how one would go about determining if it was solely C5 or C6

its C5...basically the head is going away from the shoulder. Similar scenario if a guy falls off of a motorcycle and is head and shoulder are going in opposite directions.
