If I do around 4 blocks per day for the entire 6 week dedicated study period, I could theoretically get through over 8,000 questions. Maybe I would do all of USMLErx once and UW twice and eliminate book studying. I would use books only as reference when clarification was needed. Opinions?

another poster here did just that along with a run or two through first aid and did very well. I think it can be a good strategy as long as you have a strong foundation and like doing questions.

I would still go through FA though because lot of these qbanks won't cover EVERY topic that is found in FA. And the idea is that EVERY topic in FA is fair game for the actual exam.

FA is an absolute must regardless of your plan!

..I think thats a gud plan, if executed well then U r bound to pass. I offers the opportunity to cover as many concepts as possible. Ama try le nna!

I agree with this. Even if you do not use any other resource, FA is the one you absolutely need to go through at least once while doing those Qbanks.

Just my 2 cents worth...

This is a great plan if, and only if, you review every question, and then reference those pages in FA. Half the time I'll get a question right on an NBME not because I saw that question in a Qbank, but because I read the detailed explanation which covers a lot more than just that one question.

So if you really want to do this thats great. Just be sure to really dive into the answer explanations!

if you have 6 weeks to study, try taking the first 2 wks and doing 1. 1 50 question block and reading over explanations thoroughly in uw, kap or urx and then also make it a goal to 2. read 70 pages of FA each day during those 1st 2 wks...see how that works...then you can amp up questions for remaining month.

I agree that the FA material is an absolute must. I was going to use Rx to get through it. In most of the explanations they actual show FA pages. I did about 1000 Rx questions this year. They seem to really hammer in the information.

I will definitely be reading the explanations in depth. I can't make up my mind about this overall approach though. Even though it works in theory, the idea of neglecting Goljan audio and RR bothers me.
