Hey guys,

Hope everything is going well. I just hit panic mode and my scores started to dip in the Kaplan Qbank to around low 50s. Maybe I am burned out from studying hard core for the past 7 weeks. However, I quickly turned to the IV Kaplan Vignettes and found them much easier than Qbank. My exam is in 7 days and not shooting for a high score. Just want to pass. Any suggestions?

it seems everyone thinks they are easier.
I have not yet taken my test but I am planning on saving the IV for the end (last 2 days about) so I can go over stuff my not destroy what is left of my ego.
I guess if I were you I would do QBank for the next 4-5 days and look up all of the answers in 1st aid.... it is too high a yield way of learning.

stop doing qbank, start hitting up first aid to review and solidify. I stopped the IV stuff 2 weeks before my exam, I definitely thought it was easier and it wasn't really helping me learn any more than qbank would have.

I felt like IV QBank was a waste of my time. It was too easy, and really nothing like the actual Step 1 questions. Every once in a while it helped me learn some important things about a specific topic, but it's not even close to being as high yield as regular old QBank. I wish I hadn't shelled out the extra money for IV QBank. Maybe in your case it's good to use the IV stuff as a confidence booster, but for anyone considering purchasing it I caution you to save your money. Stick with straight up QBank and you're good to go.

To the original poster, I wouldn't recommend doing too many questions so close to the exam. You're just liable to get freaked out about any low scores you might get. The problem with QBank is that there are so few questions in each block that your scores can vary a LOT percentage-wise, so you might get a 50% one day and a 75% the next. So don't focus on the individual block scores, but instead aim for a good average over the course of 7 blocks, like on the real thing. Hopefully it'll help you maintain your sanity. Regardless of what anyone says, QBank scores really don't correlate to Step 1 scores. Everyone's different. Good luck! 🙂
