Soo i was wondering how the QR is on the real test. i've read that it is a lot harder than topscore and achiever but what should i expect during the real test? are there more word problems than algebra/trig/geometry combined? for those that have taken it any input would help! i am working on bringing my QR up but i'm not sure how...

There a lot of problems that have words and you must set up. Some take longer than others. What I have realized is that you don't need to be good at math. Its all about the damn procedure and how long it takes you to set up the problem. I suggest you go to purplemath.com and look in the word problem section. They have some really good material.

It depends on you not on the questions. I do those "long" word problems in 30 seconds. The stupid calculations are what slows me down. What you call simple algebra eats up most of the time for me when there are these rediculous numbers at times. Every person is different.

Did you have lots of geometry problems? And how simple were the algebra problems?

I had ike 6 time consuming geomry problems that were not easy at all. The algebra was pretty straight forward as long as you are good at the word problems and at estimating/speedmath. Otherwise some of the calculations would have pretty pretty tough.

I did took the Dat last year but I totally forgot how it went since I got traumatized by it. Question is were there a lot of trig questions and the interest questions? I'm so bad at those. Also do you think that by reviewing topscore math, dat achiever math + destroyer is enough?

Klutzy as far as trig goes--were there many sin,cos,tan,sec stuff? should I memorize since 30 = 1/2 and tan 30 = rt3/3 and stuff like that? My exam is tomorrow so Im kinda press on time. I've gone through half of destroyer QR, and I doubt I wil finish the other half. I rather review science and PAT.

I would def. memorize that as it cuts down a lot of time in triangle problems. Its not that bad and good luck tomorrow!!!!

On my DAT trig wasnt so important. I just had to know Soh Cah Toa and 30/60/90 triangles and thats it. However every DAT is different.
