I don't have any idea how to solve this problem from Achiever. I can't even visualize this question.

Q. a 120 m trapping net is stretched out into a retangular corral to front a flowing river. What should its width (being parallel to the riverbank) be to provide the largest capturing area?

answer is 30m

It sounds like 120m is the total dimension including width and length. If its w is 30m, the length would also be 30m, making it a square with an area of 900 sq m, which is the largest area possible.
