Hi everyone,

I want to ask about the QR section on the DAT and those that have used the Math destroyer to help them achieved a 22+.

I will say that I have a strong math background and have always been great at it since high school. I also took a few math courses in college and did very well in all of them. For those who used the Math destroyer, do we just have to memorize all the formulas that are given and know how to use them? I dunno how exactly I should prepare for math besides just doing practice problems right away.

I got the 2010 version, so I am not sure what changes there are in the 2015. I can tell you that I needed to know a few more formulas besides those that are already in the book. For example, you need to know log properties, complementary/reference angle etc..

The best way to prepare for the QR section is practice practice practice. Do the first few tests untimed to get a feel for the type of questions you will encounter in the real DAT, then start timing yourself and look for your weaknesses, then practice more.

And you do need to memorize the formulae. Distance formula, midpoint, area, volumes, etc..

Easier said than done. However,if you know all the formulae you'll be sitting in a pretty good spot for the test, as long as your timing is also good. I only had time to thoroughly do the tests in Math Destroyer 2014 once and ended up earning a 23 on the QR -- I am definitely happy with my score.
