Just wondering what are the best study materials for QR. So far I've heard...

math destroyer (Does it have enough word problems?)
DAT destroyer, (it seems like the DAT is a bit harder, don't you think?)
kaplan SAT math, (I was told that it's similar to QR)
kaplan math subject tests (some of them are really hard!)
GRE math, (???)
and purplemath.com (I don't like it, it's not organized and some of the sites charge a fee)
CDM (some say it's only good for timing, do the questions similar to the DAT?)

Are there any other good QR resources/books? What do you guys think about Kaplan math subject tests? Any inputs will help. Thanks.

Just got Math Destroyer the other day... Its the best tool for QR I have seen thus far.. I took the DAT once, my computer went on the fritz so the ADA threw away my scores and is having me retake it.. Problems seem to be of similar difficulty.. Also, great for timing...

Bottom line=highly recommend

Is math destroyer the last problem set of the destroyer? or is it a different resource?

I used the Kaplan PRep course QR material. There are seven practice tests@ 25 questions each. Even though I did surprisingly well, I prob would have felt more confident w using a little more practice material. Im trying to sell my Kaplan Material from my prep course. Let me know if you are interested in all sections or just a few. [email protected]

Different....

Same company, different book.. 10 test equalling approx 400 ques. with detailed solutions.. It is relatively expensive.. $100 bucks... Put it on my tab..

Does anyone recommend more books for QR that's buyable at anybook store? I'd get math destroyer but my test is on Tuesday (7/14) and I dont think i'll get it in time to be worth it.

All i have done so far is the Kaplan QR sets and the math problems at the end of destroyer.

I believe there is a link floating somewhere on SDN to the free kaplan subjects tests (on .pdf). You'll have a hard time selling it.

I would say just go with the stuff you have. Not so much what you know, but how fast you know it. None of the math is difficult, just know your stuff and make sure you can do the problems you have gone over quickly, and correctly

Haha don't worry, it's nothing compared to dental school 😀, plus it's all worth it if it gets you in.

I know it's a different book, but it's the same company, so I don't see anything wrong with just using the QR at the end of the regular destroyer. I guess if you just want more practice problems, that's good, but I've used Kaplan BB and the regular Destroyer, not even through all the QR probs and I feel pretty confident. I'm good at math though, so maybe that's just me.

Have to comment on this. That must be awful 🙁. When are you retaking?

Yeah, but same goes to other materials like topscore and crack~

Hey guys, I ordered this book on Amazon just now. Since there will be a lot of word problems on the DAT, I'm wondering if it's necessary to get something like this. I honestly would love to have Math destroyer but I really can't afford $100 after all the appl. fee and tuition.

LMK, thanks.

How much time do you have before your test? If it's a lot, and you're really struggling with QR, just get the book that you know will help (Math Destroyer). That being said, maybe wait until you see the math in the back of Destroyer because that plus Kaplan was enough for me.

If it's about money though, in the grand scheme of things, what's an extra $75 to incur before your 50-90k a year dental school?

what if I don't get in this cycle or even the next one, then I'll have to add the extra $100 (math destroyer) on top of all my student loans + all application fees!
