Hi. I have a specific question from topscore qr test 1. #24 is a problem with 2 chords that bisect, they give you the length of the two segments of 1 and 1 segment of the other one. Find the last segment. The answer says to multiply the two segments from 1 chord and set that equal to the 2 segments of the other chord????? How can that possibly be right? Anyone have any idea? Also, did anyone find any good resources for probability/permutations/combinations etc. This is my big weakness. Thanks!

Sorry. The problem reads: Chords AB and CD of Circle O intersect at E. If AE=4, AB=5, CE=2, find ED. No diagram is included. The solutions says: (AE)(EB) = (CE)(ED) therefore (4)(1) = (2)(ED). I am probably just being dumb, but I don't get it. Thanks
