QTc interval

Can someone explain the difference between QTc interval and QT interval? Thanks

QTc interval is QT interval corrected for heart rate; calculated by QTc=QT+0.154(1-HR).

obiwan,
you could have looked that up.

p.s. the "normal" QT interval also depends on the sex of the patient. The QT interval varies with the heart rate, which is why the QTc interval is calculated (it corrects the QT for the heart rate...).

there are multiple genetic mutations that can cause a prolonged QT interval, which can lead to dangerous arrhythmias in certain circumstances.

There are multiple drugs/meds which can cause a prolonged QT interval, particular in genetically susceptible people.
