query regarding a microbiology question

hi guys..I was going thru the ques.papers and could not answer this one.it says...
the most feard consequence of graft therapy in a patient with an immunodeficiency is..
a.autoimmunity
b.immunoproliferation
c. host versus graft reaction
d.graft versus host reaction

and the answer to it is D.my question is why it cant be C.I have just no clue about this one.CAN ANYONE HELP PLZZ..

Hi, I think the answer is D 'cause the graft is placed in the host or 'patient', so it will be the host reaction to the graft.
Think of it in terms of your body reacting to a foreign substance placed within. So essentially the 'host' reacts to the graft and not vice-versa.
