293. A irreversible reaction A+B->C, which of the following will not effect the rate of the reaction?
A) decreasing A
B) increasing B
C)adding a catalyst
D) removing C
E) increasing the temperature
I chooses A) decreasing A, because if you decrease reactant A, the reaction will shift to left but due to the reaction is irreversible, therefor it cannot shif to left. But the correct choice is D) removing C. My question is if you remove C will the reaction be faster? Because it will shift right, same as common ion effect. If the product is removed, the forward reaction will faster.
