This seems like an easy question so I apologize ahead of time if I appear like an absolute tool. During 3rd year, we have SHELF Exams after each rotation (Surgery, IM, Peds, etc.). During 4th year, do you still have exams after each block? I am thinking no considering each block is 4 weeks and you have so much to choose from in terms of aways and electives. Thanks.

Generally no. At my school, Rads, PM&R, and EM had exams. That's it.

You may still have to take exams in some of your fourth year rotations, as mentioned above. Generally speaking, they are not as intense as the shelf exams.

Good luck!

I don't know personally, but I've talked to a few fourth years. They basically said that after October/November, neither they nor most of their classmates really care about grades anymore, so what does it matter? 😛
