For anyone who might know...

I got an "F" in an Ecology course about 8 years ago. The school I was at has a forgiveness policy which omits the grade from your school GPA but it remains on your transcript. I quit going to the class at the time because I realized I didn't need it any longer and I was aware of this "forgiveness" policy. Stupid??? I know. Anyway, there is an (*) next to the grade on my transcipt and right underneath says "This grade is omited from the student's GPA"

Question now is, can I omit it from my AADSAS application? Obviously it's weighing down my Science and overall GPA. TIA

Unfortunately the F will be a part of your AADSAS application.

This is a similar situation to when a student gets a bad grade in a class and retakes the course. Many undergrad institutions will replace the bad grade with the better grade in calculating GPA on the transcript but both will be noted. In this case both are calculated into a students AADSAS GPA.

Sad, but true. I also happened to have a few Fs and Ds and they did bring down my GPA a lot. There isn't much you can do at this point other than to consistently get good grades to make it up.

Unless you are from Texas. I believe they have this "Academic Fresh Start" program which allows you to start everything anew...

Ok... thanks. So I guess leaving it off when entering in my grades to AADSAS would probably hold up my application until resolved.

Yep… AADSAS will catch that when comparing your transcripts to the info you submitted on the app.
