Does anyone know or can tell me how long does it take for a school to give you a status on your application? I know it depends on the school but just wanted to have an idea!

You just answered your own question.

On a slightly more serious and helpful note, it varies wildly between schools and even between IS/OOS in some cases. It is feasible to hear from schools with rolling admissions regarding interview, such as Midwestern, as early as September or October. There are a few that you won’t hear a peep at all from until next year. Most are in-between.

Maybe if you tell us what schools you applied to, we can give you an idea of approximately when to expect communication. Many of the schools also have an admissions timeline outlined somewhere on their websites.
