Question about CAP fellowships

Hello, I'm currently a PGY2, likely applying for CAP fellowships this summer. I was scheduled to take step 3 this spring but it was recently cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak (NYC). Given the growing number of cases, it is unlikely I can take it before I apply. Will this affect my application at all? I'd also like to spend this time helping out as opposed to studying for the exam so will likely defer it to the summer.

Correction... You can apply this summer end of pgy2 Honestly, it's better to get the test over and done.
