So a few sites have asked for case summaries and/or integrated reports for internship applications. I'm wondering if generally there are any strict page number and formatting expectations for these documents. Both of my documents are fairly long: around 15 pages double spaced. Is this considered too long? Is there a point at which it is most definitely excessive? I've had differing expectations from practicum supervisors. Some say it should be over 10 pages to be robust while others lament how long winded psychologists are. However, none of the sites provide any strict guidelines for the documents and some even state there are no formatting requirements. So is it safe to assume I shouldn't sweat it so long as I'm not going overboard? Like submitting a 30-page document for each or something?

Thanks!

Reports vary in format and length depending upon supervisor and evaluation need/setting. I would worry more about making sure you pick something that demonstrates your clinical knowledge and capacity more so than length. They want to see your diagnostic skill and writing capacity.

Ok. That makes sense. Thank you!

None of my sites specified a page limit so I chose my best report, de-identified it, uploaded it, and stopped thinking about it.

This is good advice. The length is not as important to me as the quality. Best of luck!

You could always single space it so it's shorter.
