question about case

According to predent.com, 42% of the applicants got interview invites so far. I also noticed there were some ppl who got rejection letter from case already. My question is_ " is there anyone who hasn't heard back anything at all from case; neither rejection nor invite?" I'm asking because i haven't heard anything from them. My applicatin was recieved in July. Just wondering is there anyone in the same boat?

flyermann1-I think I have some bad news, when I out on my interivew they booked as many interviews as they were going to give out, they actually told me that they were booked through Feb and first week of march, So I would cross them off your list. SORRY

but you never know if somebody cancels you might have a chance at an alternate interview spot.

im in the same boat... i haven't heard anything from them 😡 and to be honest the only thing im planning on from them is a letter of rejection...

They went all out with the interviews this year... I received an invite last week and the earliest date to book was Feb 21st. Other schools haven't even started handing out interview invites... craziness

Guess I just wasted more $$ on app fees. That sucks. I haven't heard anything except request for more $$ - mailed out aug 22nd. Why would they finish all interviews so early? seems dumb. Oh well.

I would imagine that the scheduling of interviews up until February has a lot to do with their D1 classes beginning in July.

i don't know why many predents apply to 10+ dental schools even though they have 22+ dat and 3.6+ gpa😕 😕 😕

i have an interview at case in october and i am incredibly worried because of the applicant pool and how excellent it is turning out to be

This is what the website said:

You must apply for dental school at least one year in advance. Case freshmen begin school in July. That means you should request an application 15 months prior to the July you wish to enter dental school! Learn more

I personally know 3 people from my school (different years) with decent stats that got in when they applied in Jan. (3.3/18)

Yes, they are booked until Feb with interviews, or whatever, but as SOON as Dec. 1st comes around and all you guys get in to closer/cheaper/better places, interviews get canceled, people who get admitted decline. It's alright guys, you can apply now.

Thanks all of you for the input. I recieved a letter from case today for "alternate list" interview. I had been told that my committee letter was late, although they recieved my application back in July, they didn't get my committee letter till first week of September. I guess that make sense for not hearing anything throughout these past few months. I guess alternate list is also better than rejection at that point.

I'm in the same boat buddy. However, my scenario is that I am going to re-take my DAT in two weeks. So, they are waiting on my second set of DAT score before forwarding my application to the admissions committee.

Good luck to you if you're all done and twiddling your thumb for Case to take action.

I just called and setup my interview, it would be on March 1st; it seems very late but oh well. I'm not sure it's worth to fly up there for an alternate spot, but we'll see how my other interviews go. So far I got Temple and UMDNJ. In fact Temple is coming up next week, a little nervous though My stats are not anything spectacular like others on this forum 😛 21/21/17PAT cGPA 3.45 and sGPA 3.38 Good luck with your interviews!
