Question about CCOM acceptance call

first, CONGRATS to those who received the good news!
...and now here is my dilemma....
I interviewed at CCOM on 10/5 and have yet to hear some kind of news from them. Frankly, contemplating about what this might mean is driving me crazy during this Halloween weekend! I know I'm a bit overanxious about this whole ordeal, since they only started to offer acceptances on 10/29. My question to you guys is, do schools normally make acceptance phone calls all at once? Or do they tend to scatter it over a period of days? I'm feeling a huge lack of self-confidence now since I've already been put on hold at COMP after what I thought to be a good interview 🙁 . I loved CCOM....and I hope to hear some good news soon.

One of my classmates who interviewed the same day I did, didn't find out for at least a couple weeks after I did. So try not to start worrying about it yet.

And I know that the school is pretty quick in general about letting students know their status. A lot depends on when you interview in the cycle. They generally get back to you in 4-6 weeks.

Have you considered calling and reminding them that you are still very interested? Maybe tell them they are your top choice (if that is the case). There is nothing unprofessional about keeping in touch with them, and even asking if there is any reason for a delay. Being proactive might make them look at you as an applicant again.

Heya nasadorn,

I'm in the same boat as you, incredibly nervous about the whole thing. I interviewed 10/21 and did not recieve a call and I assumed the worst 🙁 . Hopefully we'll hear something tomorrow (Monday) on the whole issue.

I wish you the best of luck man and I completely understand what you're feeling. If I don't hear anything soon, I'm going to do what smc927 recommended and call them up.

Making a phone call is not a bad idea. But it will not be relayed to the admissions staff as a letter of intent to attend here or for them to give further consideration. Any information that you want to have in your file needs to be mailed. That way it can be placed in your file to be seen by the admissions office.

Remember though, you need to give it a little time. It seems that a lot of you have interviewed just within the last 2 weeks or less! But our admissions office is very friendly. I'm sure that a phone call can't hurt 🙂
