Question about changing residency status

I know UNLV website states that after a year, students in the program may apply to become Nevada residents and take advantage of the much lower resident tuition & fees.

Does anybody know if this applies to all other public schools in other states?

Depends on the school. Some places approval is supposedly automatic (or close to it)...others you really don't have a chance in hell. You'll have to ask after each school you are interested in...the students there will fill you in.
