Question about continuing volunteering from high school

Hey I had a quick question about the volunteering I did in high school. I know that if you continue the activity in college you can put down the hours from high school, but I was wondering what I should put down if I were to volunteer at the same hospital that I volunteered in high school, but volunteered in a different department. Would that still count as the same activity? Or would they be two separate things? Thanks in advance

You only get 15 slots for activities on the AMCAS app, so put it as the same activity and save the space for other activities. You can go into more detail and mention the different departments in the explanation.

Definitely list it as the same activity. Mention the high school dates and hours in the narrative area. Be sure to put a total of the hours from all departments at the end of the written portion.

The experience section has fields for start date (actually just month & year), end date (month & year, or "present") and the average hours per week.

So, if you began volunteering in September 2003 and continue through the present, those are the dates. In the free text field you can describe the departments in which you worked. It really isn't difficult or confusing.

Sounds easy enough. What if I stopped volunteering after high school and have just started again recently? Should I just indicate that in the free text field?

In the date section, put the most recent information & in the free text write that you also volunteered there from __ to __ while in high school.
