Question about course affecting GPA

I'm a junior with a 3.8 GPA...right now I'm having trouble with a class that could potentially give me a C-B in the class and I have an option of taking a pass fail (though I would have to take this evolution class later on for a grade).

I was wondering what I should do? Has anyone that went through the interview process/got admitted had a course set as a pass/fail?
