So, I got a semi-spammy email for a "complimentary CV evaluation" (Targeted Physician Job Boards). I assume that they got my information the same way every other "spammy" physician recruiter did. However, I am job-hunting. And although I like my CV and had several former supervisors review it, I do wonder if its not doing a good job. Does anyone know how legit these services are? I mean, I realize that recruiters get paid for placements, but they also make money off of filling up their databases with CVs. So, I'm not sure how much of a direct benefit this could be for me.

It will likely be of little or no benefit to you, and great benefit to the person who will harvest your CV.
Thanks - that's kind of what I was thinking.

Minor follow-up - I do have a small question about how I've arranged my CV that I might throw out to SDN. Do you have any recommendations on which forum to put it? (It's not really specific to IM, and I noticed that the "practicing physician" forum doesn't get much traffic...)
