Question about DAT scores

Hi I am looking for advice about what I should do.

My plan is to apply to dental schools this summer. However, I also want to apply to Rutger's Dental Scholars Masters Program as a backup. The problem is the deadline for the Scholars program is June 15 and it requires a DAT score with the application. Since I have not taken the DAT yet I would have to take it in early June so I have a score for my Scholar application.

I wanted to apply to dental schools as early as possible in June as well. But I do want to take the DAT a second time. So I was wondering when schools actually begin to look at your application. Should I apply to dental schools in June with my first DAT score and then add my second DAT score (90 days later) in August. I want to make sure my second score gets there before my application is reviewed.

Is it worth applying early in June and then adding my second DAT score in late August.. or should I just wait until August to apply to dental schools. From what I have read it seems like the earlier I apply the better.

Thanks for any help.

You haven't taken your first DAT yet and you're already thinking about taking it twice? What kind of mindset is that? You have 2 more months until June, study well and kill it. And you can't add anything to your AADSAS once you submit it, at least not until the November academic update anyway.
