question about declining an acceptance

so if you have a few acceptances and want to decline an acceptance what is the official protocol for doing this. Any help would be nice. Thanks

i think you just send a letter saying that you appreciate the acceptance but have decided to attend a different school. tough life, huh?😛

in all seriousness i agree with the above poster, say you appreciate the offer but have to decline.
