I've done a search for this question before, but I haven't found anything -
I was wondering, does it make a difference which dental school you go to? I hear that it's like med school - any med school diploma is as good as any others. Is this true? Other than the obvious prestige of attending an Ivy League school, are dental diplomas all measured the same?

For the most part, it does not matter which school you go to... once you have a dental degree, you're a dentist. The biggest thing is finding a program that fits your personality and learning style... but if you can't really decide, then you go based off the typical cheatsheet (and some schools actually joke about this during interviews...)

1. You NEVER turn down Harvard, Columbia or Penn
2. Go to your state school
3. Go to the cheapest school

Yes... you follow that order... haha

ooo I think you opened up a can of worms... there are lots of different opinions on this topic.

in the end, its whatever is right for you :zip:

Haha... I was actually referring to something Brian said during my Temple interview when I gave that cheat sheet 😉

Last time that I checked, no matter where you attend, if you do things right in 4 years they call you Doctor. CLEARLY there are differences in each school. Try and choose the one that has the attributes that you feel are important and then hope to get accepted there.
