Question about dropping Masters program

I'm in a BS/MS program, but am probably going to drop the MS portion because it is very unlikely that I will finish it before starting medical school (I've already submitted secondaries). I was wondering what is the proper way to let the schools I've applied to know about this. Is it better to write each school a letter and explain my situation, or just explain it to the schools when/if I interview there?

A lot of schools require you to finish any post-graduate (i.e., masters) program you are in when you apply, so it's probably something you should addrses with them individually. I know some programs are probably going to be sticklers about it and might get pretty peeved if you wait until an interview.

I withdrew from a masters program this fall after one year and am currently working and applying. Even though I included that information in my personal statement and elsewhere on my application and supplementals, every interviewer so far has had some confusion as to whether I was still in the program or not. I don't see a problem in waiting until the interview to tell them you won't be completing your degree as long as you have a good reason. Best of luck.
