They offered two interview options.
The first is only on Wednesdays, where you come in at 10 am tour the sim center, hospital, get an overview of the program, and have an interview with one of the medical staff members.
The second option is to come in at 7 am, and spend the entire day with the resident team, and then have an interview directly with the program director.
Do you think one is better than the other? Obviously interviewing with the program director is a better option, but the only dates available are now after Jan. 21st for that option. I originally scheduled on a Wednesday because it worked best with the other interviews I had already scheduled, but now I'm nervous that I'm screwing myself by not interviewing with the PD. Anyone have an opinion about this?

I don't think interviewing with someone other than the PD will really hurt you. I interviewed somewhere else where the PD was among the interviewers, but I wasn't scheduled with him. The medical staff member will fill out an eval paper and that will be used in the ranking process. Of course, it's a plus to be with the PD, but you should be fine in the end.

Interviewing at the very end of the app period also carries the risk of you being exhausted and unenthusiastic, and the PD may feel the same way. But you will be fresh in their minds. If Einstein is near the top of your list, then the second option may be better for you. Otherwise, I think you'll be ok either way.

OK, thanks so much for the advice. I think I'll try to reschedule it for the later date.
