Question about ERCP.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
1. How long does the procedure usually take?

2. Do you wear heavy(like the ones in cath lab) or light lead protectors?

I realized that your question has not been relied yet since not everyone in here is GI doc. We have limited knowledge on this subject. 😱

Depend on indication of ERCP. Generally there is short exposure time (<5minutes) for routine stone cases. Remember, the only time you need it is the cholangiogram. Once get it, its pretty much done. I usually use the thinner one. Also remember the amount of radiation is proportional to the distance, so generally, I stand at least an arms length away from the patient.
