ive read some threads like apply early and try to get into first batch if one has lower DAT or GPA.

When to when is considered as first batch?

and when to when is second batch? (just approximate)

If june 1st to june 30th is the first batch, submitting my application at june 29th is considered as first batch?

and is getting into the first batch has more chances of getting into dental schools?

I am trying to get into USC, Loma Linda, Western (my top 3 choices)

if i have little lower GPA, should i try to get into the first batch for these schools too?

Please help

This year, I think first batch was anything verified (meaning you e-submit, and they verify your GPA) before like.. June 26th (not sure the exact date, but it was the last week in June). I think the second batch was two weeks after that. Just make sure you have everything prepared well before June 1st. That means start working on your personal statement well in advance so that you can make edits. Also, collect those letters! My university had a letter-collecting service that I took advantage of. You can also start inputting the details for all your extracurricular and shadowing/assisting activities -- names, dates, # of hours, etc. Be prepared!

letters you mean LOR right?
thanks for reply!
the only thing im worried about is DAT.
im studying DAT while taking science classes so it is kinda tough for me to keep it up with
hopefully i can finish everything before june 1..

Yes, by "letters", I mean letters of recommendation. Good luck with juggling DAT and your classes. I studied for my DAT during winter break, so I don't know what that's like.
