I have ERAS coversheets from my school and put my AAMC ID number on them and handed those to my letter writers when I asked for letters. My letter writers have already sent their letters to the office, but none of the letters are showing up in my ERAS documents.

Is this a simple case of my school office not uploading my LOR's yet, or do I need to do something else in order to get the LOR's to show up on my ERAS?

I am unsure because on myERAS there is a tab labeled "letters of recommendation" and in that tab you have the option to designate a new letter writer. I don't know if I need to do that or not since I already handed out my coversheets, so didn't I designate a letter writer by doing that? Or do I need to designate letter writers on ERAS as well as by handing them the coversheet and then my school office will upload the letters that match writers I have designated on myERAS? Confused...

yeah until you designate the letter writer it wont show up even if they been uploaded

You mean when you select programs, you can't see any of your LOR's to send? If that's the case, you won't be able to select LOR's untill you designate your writers and reserve slots.

You can check the status of your documents through ADTS: https://services.aamc.org/eras/adts2010/

I have not selected any programs yet, but I also have not designated any slots in my documents sections, so I think I need to do that first. Thanks for the advice.
