Hello,

The way I understand is that you submit 3 to 4 letters of recommendations to ADEA and they will send the letters to the schools I apply.
I know that schools require different letters of recommendations options. For example, one school requires 2 letters from science professors and some school requires one letter from science, one letter from non-science, and one from dentist, etc.

As of now, I have 5 potential letters set up.

1. Science faculty (I took the class and am in research)
2. Non-Science faulty (I took classes)
3. Dentist
4. Supervisor in oral health project
5. Science faculty (I didn't take the class, but was in research)

Ideally, I would like to include 1-4 if I can only upload 4 letters, but I think some schools require 2 science profs. Which letters are you uploading and what should I do?

I appreciate any inputs

I asked 3 science professors for letters, 1 non-science and 2 dentists, and I'm planning on asking another non-science in April. I plan on uploading them all to Interfolio.com and then only sending 2 science, 1 non-science and 1 dentist.

Why all the extra ones?

1) I TA'd for a professor and took her class, but she's in Switzerland now for Sabbatical, so communication with her is shoddy. I had another science teacher I wanted a letter from, and he said yes, but I want a back-up in case something falls through with one of my preferred two fall through.
2) I asked a non-science professor who I was semi-close with and got an "A" in his class, but I took his class two years ago... I'm trying to connect with my current non-science teacher, hoping he'd be able to write me a slightly better letter.
3) I've heard horror stories about professors not turning in their letters on time because they are busy people... I'd rather have back-ups to make sure that doesn't happen!

So there you go, my answer plus a ton of **** you didn't ask/ probably care for 😛
