I was offered a subsidized loan. It says that repayment begins after I graduate. I'm wondering if that means graduate from my undergrad or from dental school. I have money to pay for my undergrad, but dental school will be 100% loans. If I can save $ now and use a subsidized loan for some of my undergrad and defer the payments until I graduate from dental school, I will definitely save some money because I will take out less in unsubsidized loans. But, if they will not defer them until I am done with dental school, there will be no reason for me to take them out. So, can these subsidized loans be deferred through dental school?

Thanks!

Yes! You just have to let them know within the 6 month grace period that you will be continuing on in dental school. Im sure some proof is also needed.
