Question about LOR

Hi,
I have a question about LOR, I am just wondering if a strong letter of recommendation from ENT person can help me in any way for getting IM residency ?

ENT does entail a lot of general medicine, but the majority of your letters need to be from internists rather than surgeons. It would be ok to have one letter from your ENT.

I had a letter from a surgeon for my medicine residency. It was because I knew the person would write something really good - he said that he would be happy to write me a good letter. Agree w/winged scapula though that you need to get a couple of others from IM folks.
