Hello,
I am looking for a masters degree in neuroscience field for next fall.
I've heard Masters degree is relatively easier to get in than phd programs.
My gpa isn't so stellar (~3.0) and GRE score is 1350.
My plan is to do well in masters program and get myself better chance of getting into a good phd program after that.
I don't know much about masters programs out there and how competitive it is to get into one.
Does anyone have some knowledge / information about these programs?

I don't think that a master's program is the right thing to do. High quality graduate programs don't have straight MS programs, and going to a lower quality Neurosci grad program for an MS won't help you get into a top notch PhD program.

What was the breakdown on your GRE?

Ok. Thanks for your reply.
I do understand that low quality MS won't help me to notch good phd program.
For personal reasons, I will have to bolster my chance of getting into phd program with MS programs.
Would going to good MS program increase the chance?
Can you list some of good MS programs in the nation?
oh, my GRE breakdown scores are 550 verbal, 800 quantitative.
