So I got an email today from them stating they recieved my application, but I am confused about one thing. In the email they wrote "Your DAT scores must be released by you through the American Dental Association (ADA) so that we may retrieve your scores. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified via e-mail."

does this mean that I have to go ADA website and request the release of scores, or will the school get it from AADSAS?

I have the same question! bump

yo yo! i think they get it ADA posts it to AADSAS profile and then UMDNJ sees it! since you already took the dat, confirm that your AADSAS profile has your dat scores.

Righteous! It's already confirmed on AADSAS though. So... I need to inquire about it

you so pringles...WHERE YO CURLY MUSTACHE AT?!!

Yeah, I believe you do not need to pay ADA to release your scores. According to AADSAS:
"For the 2012 ADEA AADSAS application, applicants no longer self-report DAT scores in the application. ADEA AADSAS will obtain your official DAT scores directly from the American Dental Association's Testing Services Center and will import them directly into your application. ADEA AADSAS does this by using your DENTPIN. If you take the DAT after your ADEA AADSAS application has been sent to your designated dental schools, an updated application, reflecting your DAT scores will be forwarded to schools just as soon as the scores are received."

So, I think we are safe! 🙂

thanks to everyone for their replies!!
