Say I have to mention a number, like 65. Is it appropriate to just put "65" or should I type out "sixty-five." I need to trim down my statement by 50 characters so it would be nice if I could just put 65, but I do not want to at the expense of professionalism.

By the way, is it "sixty-five" or "sixty five?"

I believe any number LESS THAN 10 you write out. I think you can write 65. But someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Anything under 10 you spell out; however, if 10 is starting the sentence, you should spell it out.

Alright thanks guys, I knew there was some sort of rule like that.
