Question about Osteopathic.org mentor program

So I've found a few doctors on the website that I would like to get into contact with to inquire about shadowing... I am confused on one thing though:

When I run a search a table come up with city, state, college, gender, etc. I'm a little confused about "Communication methods," however... Is this the way the doctor would like to be initially contacted to inquire about shadowing, or is this the way the doctor would like to do the "mentoring?"

I think it's how they prefer to mentor you. Look for one that wouldn't mind meeting face to face.

I've had no luck getting in contact with any of the D.O.s in my state. I was disappointed by it.

I on the other hand have met a few, including the president-elect of the AAO.

Basically, your mileage may vary, but it's worth a try. Good luck 👍
