Question About Paying School Secondary Fees

Some schools require that I sent them additional money on top of the money I had to pay AADSAS. It says, "Send these materials directly to the dental school At the Same Time you send AADSAS materials."

Does this mean I send the secondary fees at the same time I e-submit or at the same time my application gets mailed out? Anyone know?

Secondary fees don't need to be mailed/paid immediately after you e-submit, but should be done promptly, probably around the time the school will receive your application. It just means the school doesn't require you to wait until they request the fee--they just want their money soon.

Note that some schools will have access to your application electronically BEFORE it is physically mailed out by AADSAS.

Looks like some schools make you pay their secondary fee right away. I think i remember doing that for some schools. . .

I'm mailing mine so they will receive it around the same time as they receive my application. I don't want my check to "get lost" so I figured if they have everything at the same time they can hopefully put me in the "to be interviewed folder." hahaha! Thats my plan anyway!

Which schools require that they be sent right away? Are there few enough that they can just be listed I guess I could just check with each schools website.

I figured if they wanted us to wait until they received our application to send in the application fee, they would tell us to wait to send the checks. I'm sure they are organized enough that any checks that get to them before our app does, they will put it aside or mark it off or do something. They've been doing this for years so they should have their system down. I hope I'm right though since I just dropped off 9 checks in the mail to the schools.

Whats the point of waiting around to send them? If you have applied and are going to have to pay it, you might as well do it now versus later anyways. One less thing you have to woory about.
