Question about Psychiatric help

I am not a student but I am unemployed and looking to talk to someone. I do not have any money so I was wondering if college students ever talk to patients free of charge as part of their programs. I have looked around for free help and don't know what else to do. Sorry if I shouldn't post here just looking for help.

Some colleges have programs where students can get free therapy or therapy at a reduced rate. Several community centers may also be able to offer assistance to those in need who cannot pay.

You could try your local United Way "First Call For Help" site as well.
