Question about QBanks and annotation

Hey guys,

So I've just started MS2 and I bought the Kaplan yearlong QBank subscription. I'm hoping to use it throughout the year primarily to learn for my coursework (I'm in an organ-systems curriculum) although also to get a handle on Qbank style. Then, I plan to use UWorld closer to my exam date in April.

My question is this: do people who have used multiple question banks support annotating more than one into FA? I definitely plan to do so for UW, but should I also annotate explanations from Kaplan, or should I just try to read through the explanations and pick up what I can? I know from experience that I'm very slow at annotations, although they generally help me a lot. Additionally, I'm a little worried about my FA getting so jam-packed with information that it will become difficult to read easily.

PS - In case it's at all relevant or changes anything, I'm also planning on using GT and Pathoma throughout the year. I started these in MS1 and found that they really helped with my classes, so I want to continue them. I'm 27.5/16.2 in GT right now.

I also used Kaplan Q bank throughout the year with classes. I did not annotate into FA (partly because I wanted to use the newest version for my prep and it comes out in winter). Instead, I had a word doc up (ex: "Kaplan Q Bank CV Notes") and did about 15Qs before bed in whatever topic we were doing in lecture. I would type up the pertinent information from questions I got wrong/guessed on into this doc. I then quickly read it the day before my lecture exam (actually got me a couple random Qs correct that were not emphasized in class). Saved them all from each topic and briefly skimmed them while studying the topic during my designated study period.

Kind of a weird approach but worked well for me.

Best of luck this year. Make sure not to overload yourself too much with step 1 prep during the year, especially if you have a decent chunk of time after MS2 ends.
