Hi everyone,
When I wrote the ABR basic science exam last year, I noticed that a lot of the test centers booked up quickly. I was able to write in my city, but I noticed that many of the other close centers booked up fairly quickly.
This year I am planning on travelling a little bit at the end of my residency so I might end up writing the exam in a different city. However, I'm trying to book my travel itinerary and I'm concerned that all the centers in big cities (e.g. New York, Boston) might book up very quickly, leaving me scrambling or driving hours out of my way.
I am definitely going to register first thing for my preferred location, but I'm wondering if anyone has run into this scenario in the past: trying to register for a test center in a big city immediately after the registration window opens but still not being able to get a spot within that city.
It's very possible that I'm overthinking this and there will be no problem, but any advice is welcome. Thanks.
