I know residency is only required in NY and Delaware.

If I graduate from a dental school in California and choose to practice in NY would I have to do a residency?
 
Yes...NY state has a mandatory PGY1 for licensure. I believe they also offer reciprocity, so if you have had an active license for 5yrs in any state, you can get a license by credentials.
