Question about residency

I've been looking over AACOMAS' website about rules for residency but I can't quite find the answer to my question. I am a CA resident, born and raised (on the playground is where I spent most of my days), but will be moving to Omaha, NE for work and while my fiancee attends nursing school there. So I submitted my primaries as a CA resident, but I'll be living in Omaha for the next year. Anyone have ideas how my residency will be viewed?

I'm hoping to remove the CA bias, hopefully coming from a midwestern state will prove slightly advantageous, that is why I am wondering!
