Question about Retakes

How are retakes viewed by admissions? Would I need to supplement my gpa with more science classes. I have only taken into bio 1/2 and gen chem 1/2. I have gotten Bs in Bio and Cs in Chem so far. I have only taken Gen Chem over. Would my past mistakes be held against me?

I am in that same situation too (had 2 retakes) so what I would suggest is take more science courses, try to do well on the MCAT and in other classes, and explain yourself if offered an intereview. Also if you retook the course and did well the 2nd time it will be noticed, how much weight that carries I do not know
