Question about sending transcripts and LOR for 2010 Application

Hi,

Just got a little confused because this year, the submission date and access date to AADSAS application is June 1st. I'm sure a lot of SDNers have similar questions as well.

1) Should I be sending AADSAS my transcripts/DAT scores right now if I want to get my application submitted one time? Same question goes to LOR.

2) How long do you think it will take if I send in transcripts/LOR on June 1st?

3) Do I have to send DAT scores/transcripts to individual schools I'm applying to or does AADSAS take care of it?

1)Got to wait till June1st. Fill out application, print out matching forms for transcripts and recommendations.Give these forms to the people who will be sending your transcript and recommendation. Designate schools to submit app to on June1st, send DAT scores(via ada.org) on June1st.
2)No idea. depends on how fast you send it to AADSAS and how fast they verify your gpa
3)DAT scores u designate which schools to send to (done through ADA), Transcripts u send to AADSAS and then they make a packet of ur application and mail it out to the schools u designated.

if i am wrong someone correct me, but i believe i am 99.99% right.

Thanks for you help. I'm just very confused about all the timing..

1-This year (2010 cycle) the application cycle opens on June 1st. So, unlike previous years, when you could start filling out your application and print out "transcript matching forms" on May 15th, this year you have to wait till June 1st, before you can even create an account on AADSAS. This means that you will NOT be able to start sending out your transcripts at this time, because you won't be able to create an account, which in turn means you won't be able to print out "transcript matching forms." So, to make the long story short, you must wait till June 1st, before you can do anything related to your application. As for your DAT scores, You don't need to send any scores to any schools. 3-4 weeks after you take the DAT, the testing center, where you took your exam will forward your scores to your designated schools. The scores will be electronically available to the schools, and I believe AADSAS will also send a copy of them to each school along with your application. All you need to do in terms of your DAT scores is to create and AADSAS account on June 1st, and copy your scores in the designated area, on the application page.

2-It really depends on what mailing service you choose! You can use next day delivery or you can choose regular mail. Keep in mind that it will take some time before your transcripts and LORs appear on AADSAS. So, give it about two weeks.

I just wanna get a couple things straight regarding transcripts for this cycle.

1) June 1st I send the transcript cover sheets to the universities I've attended. I'm assuming sending these via FedEx would be the best option.

Should I assume that the universities know what to do with the cover sheets? Do I call them ahead of time and tell them that the cover sheets are coming, and when they come to go ahead and sent my transcript to aadsas?

2) All my LOR's are on interfolio. If I'm reading the stuff on SDN correctly, all I need to do is upload the cover sheets for the LOR's to interfolio.

Will aadsas automatically associate the uploaded cover sheet with it's LOR?

What if we took the DAT a few months ago? Should I resend my scores to schools, even though I designated them when I filled out the application to take the DAT? I tried emailing schools but they didn't give me any clear answer.

I heard from a lot of schools "no" and "not necessarily" with most of them saying since its digital they can download it if you took it a while ago. Try calling each school, thats what I did

i think you should FEDEX/EXPRESS (add all the goodies features,signatures required,confirmation online.....) it on june first. so they'll receive it on the second of june.
