Hi, I Just have a few quick questions,
how long does the MD program last? and how much will tuition end up costing in total after all the years including the housing fee?
is the ratio between male:female studnets also 2:3 respectively?
hehe... might get lonely down there....

and what are the chances of getting a residency up in the states, say U washington for example? or any school in california?

sorry if my questions don't really make much sense, i'm just trying to put things together in my mind, i'm still in my first year of university so please don't flame at me!

Thanks for all the help, its really appreciated

You can find detailed answers to your questions by doing a search. However, here's a couple of quick answers.

-The MD program is 5 academic years or 4 calendar years, same as a US school
-Roughly the cost is about 50K a year, but it always turns out to be a little more do to travel expenses, etc.
-I think the question you want to ask is not how many females there are but are they good looking. There are some very good looking females down there, but they almost always come with the baggage of having a significant other back at home. However, that doesn't stop a lot of people, but that's a whole other discussion
-You can get a residency is almost any of the states. The real question is what type of residency are you looking at. Primary care residencies are easy to come about. Highly competitive residencies, on the other hand, are another story
-If your a first term undergrad in the states, my suggestion to you would be to work hard and do well in school. Do the same with the MCAT. Don't even consider SGU or a foregin med school until you have done the best you can at school and applied twice to US med schools. If you have done all of these things and then you still have not gained acceptance to US med schools then consider SGU. I'm not bashing on SGU (I'm a student there myself), but it should always be an alternate choice because, although you can become an oustanding doctor, you are putting yourself at a disadvantage in terms of residency placement and total cost of school once you go overseas. You have a clean slate, thus make the most of it.

Hope this helped.
