I am trying to figure out what exactly is this PAT Business is all about.

What is it exactly, do you study specific shapes (cubes, irregular objects, etc etc) and go take the DAT exam ? looks very much like an enhanced section of an IQ exam.

Are the objects limited, like do you know which objects they ask about ? or is it completly random.... Meaning you go and study objects like cubes, erasers, etc, but they end up asking you about different irregular objects.

I hear people talk alot about the "board eraser", is this one of the primary objects they pick ?

it's all about spatial organization and being able to manipulate a 2D image into a 3D image (i.e. an x-ray). Get some review books and it will tell you all about it. It is definitely more than just shapes, and no they do not tell what type of objects they are...they dont tell you anything. I like to think of it as the worlds cruelest IQ test, but with practice it gets easier...bottom line, get the review books...Barrons preferable for the PAT, and "possibly" kaplan.
