hello
I am planning to apply next year and taking the DAT right before applying.(haven't taken it yet)
What do you guys think about that?
When do you think I should start preparing it?
Please tell me how long does it take in general.

Thank you.
Good luck to you all.

The most important thing you need to do is e-submit your application to AADSAS as soon as possible. I think you can start filling it out/or sending it out on June 1st, so make sure you have it done ASAP.

So you can get an idea what the application is about, open an AADSAS account right now, do to the AADSAS website and sign up for a user name and password. Then you can look around and see what sections the application has so you can start with your personal statement and all the volunteer and shadowing experience.

As for the DAT, spend about 2 months (it worked for me) start with 3-4 hours for the first few weeks and work up to spending the whole day on it. Do as many practice exams as you can. If you submit your application in June, it will take AADSAS about a month to verify your GPA and send out your application to the schools so you can take the exam when you feel ready, even in July.

Good luck.
