heyy does anyone know if the berkeley interview is open file or closed file??? i keep searching through the forum but i can't for the life of me find that info! haha.

As far as I know it is closed file.

oh geebus. so... just to be clear... does that mean it's just like scco's interview? the interviewers decide your acceptance and never get to look at ur grades or scores?

From what I remember it was semi-closed file.
The interviewers DO NOT SEE to any of your grades or OAT scores. However from what I remember they had information from my supplementary application, like the 2 essays I had to write as part of the application, and I think and work and volunteer history... stuff like that...where you go to school and your major ...

Last year the interviewers were one faculty and one student (a 3rd or 4th year). The interviewers give their feedback from the interview. That feedback is combined with grades, essays, extracurricular activities - everything. And then I think a committee, or a common person or group of people make the decision who is accepted - it is not the interviewers who determine if you are accepted or not.

Just curious Jenboo, why do you say UCBSO crushed your dream? SUNY is a great school...

I have wanted to go to the University of California since I was 10 years old. I want to live in California!!!!!!!!!!!! And I miss being on a big university campus and the UC Berkeley campus was beautiful....

But yes, SUNY is good.... it just doesn't fulfill my life long dream of going to UCLA or UC Berkeley but I guess I could have one more shot if I applied to UC Berkeley for a residency...........
